The first annual Woods Cross High School Senior Dinner Dance is coming up this Friday.
“I want to go, because it eliminates the stress of dates, but I can still have fun with my friends.”
“I want to go, because my friend told me to.”
“It’s too much money, and…I don’t know.”
“I don’t really like dances that much.”
As you can see, a lot of people have different opinions. However, my opinion is the best one. My opinion is that, “All the seniors should go to the Senior Dance. If everybody goes, it will be more fun. If it’s more fun, then the activity will be a success.”
See? Mine is the best.
This is the first year Woods Cross High School is holding a dance for seniors only. We are the experiment year, the beta testers, and if we totally mess this up, every other class after us will hate us for ruining their fun. This dance should be cheaper than all the other dances, because you don’t need to pay for your date or all that other crap. Come with your friends, eat the food, and dance the night away. The officers have worked really hard to make this fabulous for us, so don’t ruin it by pessimistically dismissing it as a waste of money.
Imagine it. Just imagine how much fun it will be. This is really your last chance to do something awesome as a senior. You won’t have to worry about stupid people, and you can wear clothes you already have. No need to impress! You can just come and have the best time ever. You’ll be telling this story to your kids when they don’t want to be involved in school activities, whether you went or not.
“I really wish I had gone to that,” you’ll say, “Everyone said how much fun it was, and I missed it.”
Or.
“I had a great time, really, dear. You should go.”
